It's not the piece of advice I was looking for, but it's what I needed to hear. Ugh.
I had just returned from a marketing conference. We talked about branding, strategy, tactics and a whole lot more. I learned I needed a website, a newsletter, a reader magnet gift to give to new subscribers and a unique message for the audience. Phew.
After the conference, I emailed the organizer asking for the best way to get started on this long to-do list. I expected a road map. Start here, do this next and then continue on to the next step. Instead, I received some philisophical advice. Go slow.
My heavenly Father likes to go slow, too. In 2 Peter 3:9, the apostle Peter writes, "The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent."
Now I'm slowing down, praying more, and trusting God for what he wants me to do next.
